Cressey Belden is a writer and poet. She has published one roman à clef, Puzzle Pieces; several volumes of poetry, Sublimely Entangled, Skipping Stones and Holiness of the Ordinary; and a three-volume series Where I End & She Begins: a memoir on motherhood after a loss, an arts and crafts book, and essays, Beyond the Reach. She is also the author of Living Prayer: A Spiritual Travelogue.
A magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University with a degree in
Sociology, she first worked in corporate strategic marketing and
then transitioned to building a boutique film-music business from
its first score, Brave Little Toaster, to the blockbuster
My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Later, she executive-produced
Year by the Sea.
After her children were born, she began her writing career.
Additionally, she is a Reiki master, interfaith minister, and helps
with hospice. She volunteers actively in various capacities
including as a Princeton class memorialist and chair of Caring
Tigers, supporting the mental health of classmates and alumni. She
also is a founding trustee and board secretary of the Wellsville
Community Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the general
welfare of a village in Appalachian Ohio. She lives in New Hope,
Pennsylvania and is currently at work on several new works.
